The Memon Leadership Forum (MLF) organized first Memon Leadership Conference (MLC) from 16th - 19th January, 2020 in Karachi. The purpose of this conference was to take advantage of business friendly policies of Government of Pakistan and to arrange a platform for leading investors from around the world to bring foreign investment to Pakistan across various sectors. Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation was a chief guest at the conference. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nishtar emphasised the role of social service and community service. “You are very important part of Pakistan; since you play a vital role in Pakistan’s economy,” SAPM said to the members of MLC.  Talking about Ehsaas that is PM’s flagship social protection programme, she said, “Ehsaas is a first-of-its-kind poverty alleviation initiative in Pakistan that aims to lift millions of poor out of poverty through a multi-dimensional approach providing human capital development, jobs and livelihoods, safety nets and equitable systems. To achieve this, Ehsaas is fully determined to engage with all stakeholders including private sector, philanthropic community, international agencies and civil societies in Pakistan”. She assured full support of Ehsaas to MLF for any initiative that contributes positively towards betterment of country’s economy and social welfare sector. Leading businessmen and more than 109 delegates from 18 countries of the world attended this conference.
