June 21, 2021 – Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan inspected street vendors’ market recently set up in G-10 Markaz under Ehsaas Rehribaan pilot initiative. Driving the vehicle, the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the street vendors, bystanders, residents and shopkeepers. Under the Ehsaas Rehribaan pilot, the model carts have been handed over to existing vendors in G-10 Markaz. The pilot project has been rolled out under the Ehsaas umbrella, in collaboration with Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad, Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). The purpose is to regulate the street economy and to support vendors in earning a respectable livelihood.
