Dec 14, 2020 – Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed that the World Bank (WB) has doubled its assistance for Ehsaas, which would ensure social protection of maximum deserving people through the program. The PM was told this during a meeting with SAPM Dr. Sania Nishtar and Country Director World Bank Najy Benhassine, who called on him. The World Bank’s Country Director declared the Ehsaas program as a flagship social protection program of the government and a role model for other countries. The PM directed Dr. Sania to formulate a comprehensive strategy for the expansion of Ehsaas program.
